Many employers have since the inception of the Employment Equity Act in 1998, complied with the requirements in terms of procedural compliance; however, diversity and inclusion remains an area which cannot be regulated and as such employers may still struggle with corporate cultures where true inclusivity has not manifested despite being compliant with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act.
