Unite and Prosper: A Cape Winelands Chapter call for business collaboration

The Cape Winelands Chapter, not only is it one of the most beautiful areas in South Africa for residents and visitors alike, but is also the centre of leading businesses operating in key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, the tech industry, and education.

The area boasts some of the best schools in the country, a world-class university, as well as numerous prime educational institutions. Unlike the other Chamber Chapters, which operate within the Cape Town Metro municipality, the Cape Winelands Chapter primarily serves the municipal areas of the Stellenbosch Municipality, covering the precincts of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, and the Drakenstein Municipality, encompassing Paarl and Wellington.

Under the leadership of Richard Von Hoesslin, supported by committee members Andre Pelser, Francois Nel, Gerhard Claassens, Gerhard Swart, Leon Grove, Louise du Plessis, Mariaan Strydom, and Kosie de Villiers, the Chapter calls on all businesses within its precinct to join the Chapter by becoming members of the Cape Chamber in uniting and standing together to build and support businesses within its precinct.

The Chapter committee firmly believes that a united business union can deliver substantial benefits to member businesses.

The Chapter believes that all businesses within its different precincts should unite to build a stronger and more sustainable economy and society. To achieve this, the committee also aims to identify impediments to business success, devising ways to stimulate economic growth and job opportunities in cooperation with all the important stakeholders in the area.

This can only happen through a coordinated and systemic approach, working together towards the same goals and objectives.

In addition to the opportunity to network and develop your business, the Chapter members benefit from invaluable added services offered by the Chamber, including training and development, discounts on a range of products and services, and advocacy to facilitate and assist businesses not only with local authorities but also on provincial and national government levels.
