Survey results out soon
Every year, the survey findings reveal new surprises. Alongside well-known issues, initial findings indicate that electricity supply and digital connectivity in the City of Cape Town remain key constraints. In specific areas, municipal responsiveness is highlighted as a bottleneck. Priorities also vary remarkably across different sectors, such as Services versus Manufacturing.
We are excited to share these results with our readers within the next week.
You will soon be able to explore the findings relevant to your specific municipality and sector using our new AI-supported dashboard. The dashboard is designed to help answer three key questions:
What has been identified as a priority?
Who is raising that specific issue as critical?
What exact feedback and resolutions are being proposed?
You will also have access to a comprehensive overarching findings report.
We now hold a valuable database that directly informs our work. Where responses were submitted, we know precisely which issues are impeding business growth at a precinct level, a sector level, and across the broader region. We know what size of business is most affected, and we have concrete feedback on how specific challenges are impacting growth and investment.
By completing the survey, a business essentially places an order—telling us exactly what it needs to operate, grow, and create jobs. The more clearly we understand those needs, the more effectively we can lobby for the precise interventions required to accelerate economic growth.
We invite different interest groups to share their recommendations based on these findings so that we can highlight them in upcoming editions of this newsletter.
