Calling all Members: Join us for our Annual General Meeting

The Cape Chamber is calling on all members to attend our Annual General Meeting on December 4.

This event is a chance to hear about a year marked by innovation and sustained growth for the Chamber and its various projects. We invite all members to come and learn more about your oganisation, its programmes, and its priorities. We exist to serve our members, and the AGM is an opportunity for us to report back on milestones achieved.

The past year has seen the Chamber strengthen its member offering. We have moved away from traditional council meetings by introducing more focused forums: our Strategic Dialogue Networks aim to address specific impediments to growth by applying business solutions and unlocking opportunities; and our Council Governance Meeting focuses on oversight and accountability.  

We have also introduced collaborative platforms called Lead Firm Consensus (LFCs) which seek to align leading companies around shared goals to strengthen value chains and local ecosystems. This is already bearing fruit in Philippi East, which serves as a promising model for future LFCs.

In addition, our Industry Network of Networks now covers 120 000 enterprises with a combined turnover of  R1,3-trillion.   
 
Together we can do more.

This past year we also staged the Western Cape Economy Innovation Awards at the Cape Town City Hall. Key economic stakeholders gathered to celebrate innovators and innovation, and to hear about ongoing work to grow the economy, improve competitiveness, and reduce poverty.
