Set Breaker # 11 : The Monty Hall Paradox
There are three identical boxes on a table. In one of the boxes I have placed a R100 note. If you can guess which one, the money’s yours.
This is the procedure:
First you point out which box you think contains the money. I then open one of the other two boxes to reveal an empty box. You can then stay with your original choice or switch to the other closed box.
What improves your odds – staying with your original choice, or making the switch?
