Where opportunity meets!
Whatever the prevailing climate for business, there will always be opportunity for those who seek it out and rise to the challenge. The Cape Chamber of Commerce & Industry is where that opportunity meets.
We run a variety of seminars and workshops, as well as host both formal and informal networking functions, giving you the opportunity to grow your network.
We also host major events throughout the year.
We play a significant role in keeping our members informed of the latest issues affecting business and industry, both large and small, with our regular newsletter. Subscribe to our newsletter using the subscribe form on the right.
As a member of the Chamber you are entitled to use the ‘member’ logo in all your communication. Research(1) shows that when consumers know that a business is a member of a chamber of commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favourably of it. Members can request a copy of the logo by e-mailing Chantal van Schalkwyk.
We have been speaking up on behalf of our members since 1804. Our ability to lobby with integrity is underpinned by our status of being fiercely independent. You can see our activities by reading our press releases
We have an International Trade Desk which is the first point of contact for trade missions and visiting delegations. The Chamber supplies a Carnet de Commerce and, as an accredited body, the Chamber certifies Certificates of Origin subject to foreign custom guidelines.
We have a Business Information Service which offers info and advice on a host of issues, including: Export/import, Human Resources, Incentives, Legislation and Tenders.
Our member base is representative of nearly all sectors. We communicate extensively with them via various platforms. For costs of Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry membership look at our Subscription Rates. For more information on advertising to members please email Joy Kennedy.
Meetings and events are held at various chapters throughout the region to offer members the opportunity to meet informally, listen to topical speakers or express their concerns about issues affecting business in the area.
The Chamber has established Portfolio Committees that play an active role in policy formulation and information sharing.
For those younger than 25 years, we have a dedicated Youth Chamber where they can interact with their peers and attend functions geared to those who are new to business.
