Department of Labour: A dialogue with business on policies, practices and new developments

The Cape Chamber will be hosting an interactive discussion with Mr David Esau, the Department of Labour’s Western Cape Chief Inspector on current policies, practices and new developments within the labour sphere.

Topics for discussion includes:
• The recent Employment Equity Report Results 2017 / 2018;
• Findings of blitz inspections conducted by the Department of Labour across the province;
• An update of Western Cape businesses being served notices for transgressions and non-compliance of certain labour laws; and
• The need for greater awareness of worker rights and responsibilities within the workplace.
