Current global trade is in crisis with tensions and disputes between major players impacting everyone. The International Trade and Tourism Portfolio Committee of the Cape Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be hosting 3 speakers to reveal any opportunities current trade tension may provide.

Speakers:

  • Natalia Sanchez Herrera will cover inter- and intra-trade within Africa, RSA and the Cape when dealing with the rest of the world by Natalia is Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Kili Partners (Africa). She is an advisor to multinationals and medium size companies on market entry strategy into Sub-Saharan Africa, and offers assistance to companies and international institutions with Africa-related projects.
  • James Downie will give an economic and market overview of South Africa and the world. James is Head of Institutional Asset Consulting at MitonOptimal South Africa. His specialties include Institutional investments, Institutional investment marketing, Communication of investments to clients and retirement fund management.
  • Chris Holdsworth is an Investment strategist for Investec Wealth and Investment. His research covers asset allocation and sector selection in SA and abroad. Chris recently joined from the institutional cash equities business where he headed up the research team and covered investment strategy.

The speakers will give a brief presentation, followed by time for questions.
