The committee supports the development of an efficient and safe transport system. Transport includes road, rail, sea and air transport (for both freight and people), public and private transport, scholar transport, non-motorised transport, as well as planning, legislation, safety and law enforcement, as applied to all modes of transport. Transport infrastructure includes roads, railways, ports, airports and pipelines as well as developing technologies such as traffic monitoring and integrated ticketing systems that impact on transport infrastructure. The committee is actively involved in issues relating to the port through involvement in the Port Liaison Forum and communicating with the relevant stakeholders.
